2025 DJ lineup
Utah Saints have been making music, DJ'ing and playing gigs around the globe since the birth of House Music. The world renowned duo have released 9 Top 40 UK hits, 4 of which hit the Top 10, and sold over 2 million records worldwide (equivalent to 800m+ streams).
Precariously walking the tightrope between genres and also between the underground and mainstream, Utah Saints roots are firmly in electronic dance music. Having met in a club in Leeds at the beginning of the rave movement in the UK, they've subsequently established themselves as pioneers of sampling in dance music. Alongside this success, they set up and promoted award winning and legendary club nights The Gallery and SugarBeatClub in Leeds with residencies also in Edinburgh and London. They have recorded and presented shows for BBC Radio 1, Kiss and Ministry of Sound.
Utah Saints are still very much at the top of their game, DJ'ing regularly each month as well as curating festival stages such as Beatherder - putting on an eclectic range of artists and DJ's. They have played alongside diverse artists from DJ Zinc to Justice, Zane Lowe to A-Trak, Friendly Fires to Boys Noize and U2 to Public Enemy. They have DJ'd and played at over 3000 events from underground clubs to festival mainstages, including supporting U2 on the Zooropa stadium tour.
Their collaborations have been as eclectic as the music they create. From sampling to the production and writing of tracks with artists including Michael Stipe from REM, Kate Bush, Annie Lennox, Edwin Starr, Chuck D (Public Enemy), Terrorvision, Arthur Baker, Annabella Lwin (Bow Wow Wow), Drumsound and Bassline Smith to name a few...
Recent accolades (2022) include being listed in Rolling Stone as one of the 200 Greatest Dance Songs of All Time with 'Something Good' listed at 138. Something Good 08, was the most played track on Radio One and was the 10th most streamed track of that year, it has recently been awarded Gold status in the UK.
When the pioneering musicians aren’t playing at clubs and festivals in various parts of the world, they can be found in the studio working on their own material as well as producing and remixing other artists from The Stone Roses and Girls Aloud to Bring Me The Horizon and Hawkwind. The Utahs also run a successful record label, along with adding film scores, soundtracks, video game and incidental music production to their ever-expanding portfolio.
Works include Mortal Kombat theme – soundtrack double platinum and number one film in the USA, Shopping (Paul Anderson), Raining Stones (Ken Loach), Trailer for Ridley Scott’s Raised By Wolves (HBO 2022), end credit music for Steve Buscemi and Tessa Thompson Film The Listener (2022) .Video games include Fifa 98, Fifa 2000, Wipeout, Burning Rubber, Carmageddon, Radial G for Occulus/Sony VR (2015), lead tracks for Final Vendetta (2022) across all platforms.
Finally, they are planning to release new music as Utah Saints.

altern 8
“Altern 8 occupy a unique position in dance music history...” Moby, Los Angeles, 2016.
Was it all a dream? There was, believe it or not, a brief moment in time when the sleepy market town of Stafford was at the epicentre of UK dance music. That’s right. Stafford. 1991 and Altern 8, comprised of Mark Archer and Chris Peat, decked out in chemical warfare suits and dust asks, were sitting pretty at number 3 in the UK singles chart with Activ-8 (Come With Me). Altern 8 had made the big time with appearances on Top of the Pops and in the hallowed pages of Smash Hits! followed. Altern 8 were the Vicks-smeared, air-horn honking maestros of UK rave. Meanwhile, fellow Staffordians Bizarre Inc, a band that Archer helped establish with Dean Meredith back in 1989, were at number 4 that very same week, with Playing With Knives? Manchester? Detroit? Forget it. Stafford was Techno City UK. Top one, nice one, get sorted.
It all started back in 1988, when Mark Archer cut his teeth with Bizarre Inc. Although, he didn’t stick around long with the band, Archer received massive critical acclaim – and a few chart placings – for his second project, Nexus 21 (with Chris Peat). Nexus 21 dealt out a mean take on Detroit techno, so much so, that techno legend Kevin Saunderson, couldn’t believe that they were not from the Motor City. Nexus 21 were gaining a reputation. It was while Nexus 21 were dabbling with some of the harder Belgian sounds around at the time, that Network Records owner Neil Rushton suggested the formation of a second act, so that some of this hardcore dance could be unleashed.
The past 38 years has seen Archer firmly established as a UK dance music legend. His book The Man Behind The Mask was released in 2016 with a host of famous contributors including Moby, the man Archer toured Brazil with back in the day. The book was a chance for Archer to let that famous dust mask drop, thus revealing the man beneath. The book was warmly received, described by one reviewer as one of the best autobiographies he’d read that year.
Since the book Archer has recorded two Boiler Room sets. The first was recorded in Nottingham in 2016 and had been watched 110,000 by the following morning!
Today, Archer can still be seen in that famous luminous mask as the resurrected Altern 8, although the name Mark Archer pulls crowds just as big, as seen in some massive performances at festivals such as Glastonbury, Boomtown, Shindig, Mucky Weekender and EDC in Vegas amongst countless others, whether it be a Live PA or a dj set, or even a b2b with such names as Shadow Child, Ewan McVicar or Mr C. Archer is also a resident DJ at Bangface Weekender!
Top one, nice one, get sorted!

The Full Moon & Attic, The Canteen, Old Market Assembly and The Jam jar. This has earned him a well trusted reputation on the decks along with countless hours of experience working crowds of all types and ages.
Filthy dirty disco
Filthy Dirty Disco are a South West DJ collective who bring a much needed injection of mixed-up, mashed-up, maxed out music wherever they go. With an indecent predisposition to genre hopping, a disregard for purity and a party smashing attitude, prepare yourself for adulterated fun and serious dancing.
Forged on the dancefloors of Devon, FDD bonded over a love of music and a desire to create their own party vibe wherever they play. Filthy Dirty Disco deliver a locked in dancefloor, and hands-in-the- air atmosphere.
The trio have smashed it out of the park at a variety of events, from regular Exeter gigs (the legendary Angel and Bishop’s Blaise) to festival sets at Glastonbury, Shambala, Beautiful Days, Altitude, Lindisfarne, Big Feastival, Spring Classic and Milkland and support slots for acts as diverse as Craig Charles and Martin Kemp.
Now in their 7th year, 2024 saw them playing at Tobacco Dock (London) and Meribel in the Alps.
WHO are Filthy Dirty Disco? Sofie F is resident DJ at Exeter’s legendary Magic Hatstand and a regular at many of the nights across the city. With a slamming concoction of twisted tech, nu-disco and house, she causes riots wherever she plays. Jessica Joy is a veteran DJ of the Bristol, London and Sydney party scenes (Blue Mountain, Thekla, Cosies, Fabric, Bug Bar, Home, Finger Lickin) and festival stalwart who loves to rock the room with her mix of underground disco, funky house and dirty basslines peppered with cheeky sample drops. Miss Demeaner deploys party bootlegs, riotous mashups and slinky grooves to killer effect, be it a secret party or a basement bar (The Bikeshed).
HOW do they react to Filthy Dirty Disco? “KWEENS!!!”“The mixing was the only clean thing all night” “They’ll play any style with the right vibe – if you really want to put this night in a box, just make sure it’s locked and kept out of the reach of children”
